Feature requests from Preferences

Preferences now includes a feature-request action that opens a prefilled email draft to the Zone team.

Download v0.1.3

Zone 0.1.3 adds a lightweight path for sending product ideas without leaving users guessing where feedback should go.

Included

  • Added a Request a Feature action in Preferences -> Settings -> General.
  • Opens a prefilled email draft to hello@getzone.app instead of sending anything automatically.
  • Includes Zone and macOS version context in the draft so reports are easier to triage.
  • Added coverage for the mailto URL and draft body.

Single-click menu bar selection

Menu bar popovers now accept the first click, so selecting a Space feels immediate.

Zone 0.1.2 tightens the menu bar interaction before the public launch.

Included

  • Space selections inside the menu bar popover now work on the first click.
  • Added coverage for the first-click popover host behavior.
  • Kept the notarized direct-download release path intact.

Early purchase from trial

Trial users can now buy Zone directly from Preferences before the trial ends.

Zone 0.1.1 adds an early purchase path for users who already know they want to keep Zone before the 14-day trial expires.

Included

  • Added a Buy Zone button to Preferences -> Licensing while the app is still in trial.
  • Embedded the existing Paddle checkout directly in the Licensing screen.
  • Kept the Back path lightweight so users can return to their trial status without changing anything.
  • Removed a duplicate Licensing heading in Preferences.

Notes

Paying during the trial activates Zone immediately on that Mac. The 14-day refund window starts when the purchase is completed.

First public build

Zone's first signed and notarized build shipped with project-oriented Spaces and quick switching.

Zone 0.1.0 is the first public release of the macOS menubar app. It focuses on the core workflow: naming Spaces, giving them colors, and switching between them without breaking focus.

Included

  • Menubar-first macOS app with no Dock icon.
  • Named and color-coded Spaces.
  • Quick switcher for jumping between contexts.
  • Local persistence for Space configuration.
  • Signed, notarized DMG distribution with Sparkle appcast support.

Notes

This build is distributed directly from getzone.app. Zone uses private CoreGraphics Space APIs, so it will not be available through the Mac App Store.
